Position Overview:

The Loan Processor will play a key role in managing and processing loan applications from initiation to approval. This position involves working closely with applicants, loan officers, and other departments to ensure that all necessary documentation is collected, verified, and processed efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Application Management:

  • Review and process loan applications, ensuring all required documentation is received and complete.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of applicant information, including credit reports, income verification, and employment history.

2. Documentation:

  • Collect, organize, and maintain loan documents in accordance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with internal and external guidelines.

3. Communication:

  • Communicate with loan applicants and loan officers to request additional information or clarify details as needed.
  • Provide timely updates to applicants on the status of their loan application and respond to any inquiries.

4. Compliance:

  • Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to loan processing.
  • Stay informed about industry regulations and changes that may impact loan processing procedures.

5. File Management:

  • Maintain organized and accurate loan files, ensuring that all documentation is properly filed and accessible.
  • Track loan application progress and ensure that deadlines are met.

6. Problem Resolution:

  • Identify and address any issues or discrepancies in loan applications or documentation.
  • Work with other departments to resolve any problems that may arise during the processing of loan applications.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in loan processing or a related field is advantageous but not required.
  • Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
